Removal
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable
2.
Remove the Engine room junction box after removing the cover.

3.
Disconnect the brake tubes from the HECU by unlocking the nuts counterclockwise with a spanner.

Tightening torque:
12.7 ~ 16.7 Nm (1.3 ~ 1.7 kgf.m, 9.4~ 12.3 lb-ft)

4.
Pull up the lock (A) of the ESP control unit connector, then disconnect the connector.

5.
Loosen the 3 ESP HECU bracket bolts, then remove HECU and bracket.

Tightening torque:
21.6 ~ 29.4 Nm (2.2 ~ 3.0 kgf.m, 15.9 ~ 21.7 lb-ft)

6.
Remove the 3 bolts, then remove the bracket from HECU.

Tightening torque:
7.8 ~ 9.8 Nm (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

   
1.
Never attempt to disassemble the HECU.
2.
The HECU must be transported and stored in.
3.
Never shock to the HECU.
Installation
1.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
