Removal
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Using a screwdriver or plastic panel remover, remove the cluster fascia upper panel (A).

3.
Using a screwdriver or plastic panel remover, remove the center fascia upper panel (A).

4.
Disconnect the heater control unit connector (A), clock and SSB connector (B).

5.
After loosening the screws, remove the heater control unit (A) from the center fascia upper panel.

Installation
1.
Install the heater control unit to the center fascia upper panel.
2.
Install the center fascia upper panel.
3.
Install the cluster fascia upper panel.
Inspection
1.
The rear window defogger switch inputs can be checked using the GDS.
2.
To check the input value of rear window defogger switch, select option "IPM".
3.
Select option "Input/output monitoring".

4.
To check the input value of rear window defogger switch in force mode, select option "ACTUATION TEST".
