Hyundai Equus: Rear Door Module Repair procedures

Replacement

1.	Remove the rear door window glass. (Refer to Rear Door - "Rear Door Window Glass")

2.	Remove the rear door outside handle. (Refer to Rear Door - "Rear Door Outside Handle")

3.	Loosen the rear door outside handle base mounting screw (A).

4.	Disconnect the rear door curtains motor connector (A).

5.	Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the extension cover (A).

Loosen the mounting bolts, remove the rear door curtains (B).

Tightening torque :

6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

7.	Loosen the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the rear channel (A).

Loosen the door latch (C) screws, remove the module assembly (B).

Tightening torque :

(B) 7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

9.	Disconnect the connectors (A) and rear door module wiring harness (B).

10.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	The area of whole parts should be applied with sufficient grease.

•	Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.

•	Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly
